Nursing Training School attached to IPGME&R and S.S.K.M Hospital is a pioneer and premier institution of General Nursing Cum Midwifery training in Kolkata. It was first started in the year 1956. Since then it is still producing quality nursing professionals.
It is situated in the premises of Canning building beside the office of the Nursing Superintendent. A separate new building for School of Nursing is our prime requirement and the proposal regarding this is placed before the authority. |

In
our institution the G.N.M training
is conducted according to the syllabus
of the Indian Nursing Council. Our
students are getting their experiences
from the different clinical fields
of this hospital, Institute of Psychiatry,
Bangur Institute of Neurology,
College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology,
Chittaranjan Seva Sadan Hospital
etc. They are also having their
rural community experience in Soarpur
Rural Hospital, Subhasgram, and
South 24 Paraganas.

Our students also take part in different cultural programmes, competitions, sports etc organized by S.N.A and T.N.A.I.
We are going to start the A.N.M Training Programme in the coming session that is from February 2007.
Our Institute will continue to strive for advancement of nursing care throughout the country. |
