1. Admission to 2 (two) seats in the one year Post Doctoral Certificate Course (Cardiac  Anaesthesia)  shall be  made  on  the  basis  of  merit list of  candidates appearing  in the  admission test  to be conducted by Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research  (IPGME & R ), Kolkata.

2. Both the seats will be reserved for candidates from the cadre of WBMES / WBHS.

3. All candidates are advised to confirm their eligibility from their respective employers before applying for admission to the course. The institute shall not be responsible in case the students are not paid any stipend / any remuneration.

4. Eligibility  criteria :

    4.1 Members  of  West Bengal  Medical  Education Service/ West Bengal Health Service    with  a  Post Graduate Medical Degree (MD) in Anaesthesia from any MCI - recognized  Institution  in  India shall be eligible to apply for admission.

    4.2. Application for admission will not be accepted unless the candidate has been registered either with WB Medical Council or with the Medical Council of India.

    4.3. This is a full-time course. Candidates pursuing any other course are not eligible for admission.

    4.4. The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of the marks obtained in the   admission test.

    4.5. Upper Age Limit: not more than 45 years as on 0.1.01. 2007.

5. Method  of  submission  of  application :

    5.1. The candidate is  required  to go through these ‘General  Rules and procedural directives’ carefully and acquaint himself / herself with all requirements regarding  filling up the application form. The Application Form is available for download.

    5.2.  Please submit the filled application form to the office of The  Director, Institute Of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research, 244, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road, Kolkata 700020 with

• two photographs of the candidate (one must be attested by a gazetted officer or  principal of the candidate’s college and pasted at appropriate place and the other  stapled without  attestation).
• the candidate’s  signature  at  appropriate places.
• Please mention the name of the course applied for on the envelop.
• All forms submitted after the stipulated last date will be rejected without any reference to the candidate.

6. Method  of submission of  application :

    6.1. Applicants are required to enclose one self addressed stamped envelop (approx. size: 25cm´ 12 cm) for sending the Admit Card, along with the Application Form. A  crossed  Demand Draft  of Rs 1000/- ( one thousand only) in favour of ‘The Director, IPGME&R, Kolkata.’, payable at Kolkata as application money must accompany the duly filled Application Form and must reach the office of The Director, IPGME&R, at 244,Acharyya  Jagadish Chandra Bose Road, Kolkata – 700020 within 4 pm of 30th May 2007.

    6.2. Submission of incorrect or false  statements / documents  or  suppression of material information in the application  form  will be considered as sufficient ground for cancellation of the candidature or the admission of candidates to Post Doctoral  Medical courses  whenever detected, i.e., during  the process of admission or even at any stage thereafter.

    6.3. Application is to be sent through proper channel.

7. Decision of competent institutional authority for selection of candidate on the basis of   admission test will be final and no request for re-evaluation or query in this regard will be entertained.

8. The name of the selected candidates will be published in the Provisional Merit List and they will have to submit all the attested copies of supporting  documents  along  with originals for verification of their  eligibility to the course before admission.

9. The Merit List and further directions to the candidate will be put up in the notice board of the office of The Director’, IPGME & R, Kolkata, and will also be available in this website.  No communication in this regard will be made to the candidates personally.

10. The successful candidates must report to the head of the institution within  01.08.2007, failure to report will make his / her selection to the course cancelled and render the seat vacant.

11. No travel allowance is admissible for appearing in the admission test or for attending counseling.

12. No personal communication will be made to the candidates, unless it is considered absolutely necessary by the institutional authority.
